Mollie

Mollie was born 24 January 2005 and the breeder is a committed BARF feeder so she was weaned on minced chicken. When we got her home at 7 weeks we continued the BARF feeding (as her older sister Hattie was already on the same diet). They are both as fit as the proverbial 'butcher's dogs' on their AMP Meat and Veg Mix for breakfast and then raw chicken wings or turkey necks for supper.

At her first attempt, Mollie, having qualified by winning her group at a champ show, won a second in Special Puppy Bitch at Crufts 2006. Then this year she beat that with a first in Post Grad Bitch at Crufts 2007. The pictures show her relaxing in the garden and then beating all the competition at Crufts 2007. What a girl! But most of all, like her sister Hattie (although really they are not related at all) they are happy healthy pets thanks to AMP.

Brodie - 6 month old Scottish Border Collie fed on Natures Menu products

Brodie

Brodie is a six month old Scottish Border Collie. He has been on the B.A.R.F diet for two and a half months, and is making excellent progress, and gaining weight steadily.

In addition to this diet, we add a vitamin supplement. He also enjoys raw carrots, broccoli, grapes, apples, and bananas, and the occasional boiled egg. We also give him either rice or pasta as a filler with his B.A.R.F diet.

This is the first time we have decided on an alternative raw food diet, the reason why, was because he was not making good progress due to digestive problems. After reading Carol Price book "Understanding the Border Collie" she mentioned putting one of her dogs on this diet, and got good results.

So after making many enquiries, and eventually contacting Anglian Meat Products, and getting very good feedback and help, we decided to give it a trial period. We have not looked back, it's FANTASTIC, we are over the moon. We have no hesitation in recommending this excellent product.

Harry the Westie

“He gets bloody diarrhoea every two or three months, but a course of antibiotics from the vet and he’s right within days”. These were the words that Harry the Westie’s owner said when she brought him along to my Bath practice. She was quite accepting of this state of affairs, but was just a bit worried because he was very uncomfortable during the two or three days it took to get to the vet and for the medicines to work.

When I asked about his diet, he was on a pretty good brand of complete dried food, but his owner, and particularly her husband, gave him hide treats, biscuits and scraps from the table, which he loved. We couldn’t work out a specific link between certain foods and him getting the bloody diarrhoea, but it seemed like a good initial assumption for treatment.

We discussed raw food feeding and, although Mary, his owner, was enthusiastic, she couldn’t help her face dropping when I began discussing feeding Harry on raw meat and chicken wings. But, and all credit to her, she took the bull by the horns and within days he was on raw chicken, fruit and veg. Treats were any type of fruit or veg which, to her amazement, he really loved.

Two months came and went. Three, four, five and its now 18 months since Harry started on his new diet. He’s great. His skin looks better, his teeth are cleaner, his breath fresher, his stools more ‘pickupable’ and Mary and Arthur really love feeding him ‘real food’. Harry hasn’t seen the vet for that entire time apart from his annual check up.

So he’s very happy.
